CONTROL BY THE PEOPLE

In the final analysis, whether we have all-out inflation or not will probably depend upon the people. More important than what laws we have or don't have will be the question of whether we will be willing to sacrifice buying things we want if prices get too far out of line.

If the public refuses to pay $2,000 for an ordinarily low-priced automobile, there is no doubt that the price will come down to one the public is willing to pay.

If the majority of us would make up our minds not to be "suckers" and would go on strike when prices got too fantastic. inflation could undoubtedly be kept under control.
