THE REGATTA COMMITTEE IS NOW ORGANIZED
C. G. Fulton Elected Chairman. Colonel Hughes Treasurer, and F. L. Parker Will Be Secretary.

Colonel Hughes, G. C. Fulton and Herman Wise of the regatta committee, held a meeting to perfect the committee organization yesterday afternoon. A communication was received from Ben Young asking to be excused from serving on the committee. John Kopp was out of town.

At the solicitation of Hughes and Wise, Mr. Fulton consented to assume the chairmanship of the committee.

In the matter of selecting a secretary, no one has yet been named, but effort will be made by the members of the committee to persuade Frank L. Parker to act in that capacity. Mr. Parker has now had the benefit of several years' experience, and the desire to have him act again is general among all who are interested in the regatta.

Colonel E. C. Hughes was elected treasurer, and A. Sherman and Thomas Farrell were added to the committee.

It is understood to be the purpose of the committee to make further additions to its membership. At the next meeting, which will be held tomorrow afternoon, it is the unanimous desire, also, of the committee to have those who served on previous executive committees to serve as an advisory board with this year's organization. They are informally invited to attend the meetings of the committee whenever possible and to give its members the benefit of such advice as their experience may suggest.

The outlook for a regatta was never more favorable than this year. With the good will and assistance of every well disposed citizen it can be made the greatest affair of the kind yet held. With a strong and unselfish pull all together the success of the regatta will be assured.
