BRITISH CLAIM MORE STRENGTH AIR MINISTER SAYS ENGLAND HAS MORE PLANES THAN GERMANY

LONDON, March 11.—Sir Archibald Sinclair, British air minister, told the House of Commons this morning that Britain now has more fighting airplanes than Germany.

Describing the British air force as stronger, "both numerically and relatively", than that of Germany, Sir Archibald said 4,200 German planes and 1,100 Italian aircraft have been destroyed in recent operations. In the same length of time, he said, the RAF has suffered about 1,800 losses.
