If the Republicans of this country could win so signal a victory one year ago on the promise of a business revival for the country, there should be no trouble in scoring one now on the strength of the revival of business that has followed in every quarter where the dependence has not been on a cotton crop alone. Iowa, New York, Kansas, Ohio, Nebraska, Maryland, Kentucky are all of them reaping the benefits of that promised prosperity. The outlook is good for Republican gains all along the line. Virginia has no pretensions, but Virginia has not really made a fight for Republicanism.
