ROTARY DIST. GOVERNOR

ROTARIANS throughout Eastern North Carolina were genuinely elated upon news of the election Monday of P. D. Midgett, Jr., of Engelhard to the post of Governor of the 189th Rotary District in N. C. Mr. Midgett, who is in the electrical power business in Engelhard, is a native of Wanchese, formerly taught school at Hatteras; is a 1922 Duke graduate, generous civic leader, and for 25 or more years has been a moving spirit in Rotary, having been an organizer of the Engelhard club which sponsored his candidacy for the Governorship. He has been an active leader in many civic and religious causes. His wife is the former Virginia Brittain of Suffolk. He has four children.
