The Fact Proved Again.—Our readers will bear in mind that we have already shown, by the testimony of Dr. Leach, that in January last Gov. Vance approved his resolutions, which were the first in the State to suggest a Convention: and the record shows that about that time Gov. Vance wrote to President Davis asking him to aid him in suppressing the "discontent" in this State, occasioned, as the Governor declared, by this very Convention proposition. But we have other and further proof. Our correspondent, "One Who Heard," states emphatically that on the 20th of February Gov. Vance, in the town of Taylorsville, approved Mr. Bogle's Convention resolutions, and lavished high praise on them as the very thing for the times. Mr. Bogle made this statement in the presence of a number of persons in Wilkesborough, on the 4th day of this month. It is also known that on the 22d of the same month, at Wilkesborough, Gov. Vance denounced a Convention in the most vehement terms and warned the people against it. Facts are stubborn things.
