PARIS, Nov. 14. No monarch of France ever made a more brilliant entry into Paris than our present King, on the 12th of this month. The French guards lined the streets through which his Majesty passed in his state coach; he was preceded by four coaches with his officers, after which came the Queen with all the officers of her household, and Monsieur and the Count D'Artois, which made a string of 24 coaches, with the lifeguards going before and behind them; two companies of musketeers and one of light-horse opened the procession, and the gens d'arms of the guard closed it. The beauty of the coaches, and horses superbly harnessed, and the variety of rich uniforms, had a very pleasing effect. The horse and foot patrol guarded the avenues, to keep the people in order; the Governour of Paris, the Provost of the merchants, and the Lieutenant of the Police, commanded them. The members of the Parliament, who were going to be installed, had all superb carriages with rich liveries. All the shops were shut, and the houses in the streets through which the procession passed were filled with people. All the bells in Paris rang, the music of each troop played, and the air was filled with the cry of Vive le Roy et la Reine. Every thing was so well conducted that no accident happened, not even at night during the illumination. Some few went and insulted the chiefs of the reformed Parliament, but they were carried before the magistrate, who reprimanded them, and set them at liberty again.
