Full Text

JAMES MCAFEE has found it necessary to follow Mr. Cosgrave's example in disposing of his interest in Sutro's organ. Mr. McAfee is a first-class printer, and deserves better success. He stated to us, last Wednesday, that the concern had not paid expenses for over three months. It is therefore evident that the people of this county refuse to support it. The fact is, they cannot be expected to indorse a newspaper which will not uphold and advocate their views, unless they coincide with those of Adolph Sutro. If the latter wants a paper he should support it out of his private funds.
