Rev. C. K. Hayes preached his last sermon of the conference year, last Sunday. The congregation was greatly benefited by the exhortations of the subject-"The Eagle Stirs Her Nest." The song service of the senior and junior choirs seemed to be directed especially to Rev. and Mrs. Hayes before their departure to the Annual Conference. A solo, "You've Got to Stand" was impressively offered by Mrs. Florence Stewart.
It is hoped that the Conference will return Rev. and Mrs. Hayes to Phoenix. Rev. and Mrs. Hayes left Monday to attend the conference in Albuquerque, N. M. Both received lovely gifts from Pastor's Aids and Missionary Societies.
The Stewardess Board No. 2 presented Mrs. Hayes with a lovely purse. Their daughter Martha Jean also received gifts, from the Missionary Society and Junior Choir, before her departure this week for school in Missouri.
The church's new fixtures are beautiful.
The Rev. Mrs. Helen Thomas will fill the pulpit next Sunday.
