LONDON, April 20. Persons lately come from the Havannah say, That great Preparations were making there; and that the general Conversation was, that they were design'd for Georgia and South Carolina; that the Fleet with a Body of Troops aboard, were to go in and take Port Royal, and fortify that Harbour, whilst the Troops from St. Augustine were to march thro' Georgia, to join those at Port Royal in South Carolina. Some of those who were Prisoners at Havannah say, that the Spaniards there threatened terribly how they would use the conquer'd People. But we hope they'll find, they have divided the Skin before they hunted the Bear. All Officers are order'd to their Posts in Minorca, Gibraltar, and America; it being generally believ'd that they will be wanted in those Places.
