The Fate of the Jesuits is at length decided, in the following Manner. Father Ricci, their General, is appointed a Bishop. The Society is suppressed in this City, and throughout the Ecclesiastical State, as well as in France, Spain, Portugal, the Two Sicilies, and the Dukedom of Parma. Those Jesuits who are professed are to be provided for out of the Effects of the Society, and the Novices to be dismissed. The Bull of his Holiness is to be published on Low Sunday, and his Holiness will grant a Copy of it to such Sovereigns as request it. At the same Time will be published the Accommodation between his Holiness and the Courts of the House of Bourbon, by which Avignon and Benevento are to be restored to the Holy See.
