SEARCHING FOR VICTIMS.
The Stafileback Family Suspected of Many More Wanton Crimes.

GALENA, Kan., Sept. 15.-Search for the bodies of alleged victims of the murderous Stafileback family is still in progress. The work is slow, as the shaft in which the bodies of two girls are said to be has caved in and the dirt has to be taken out. According to the statement of the women who went to the Stafileback house, these girls were killed to prevent their telling of other crimes as brutal. In fact, every prospect hole and abandoned mining shaft in the vicinity of the house suggests possible revelations of a career in wholesale murder, done for plunder and in wanton wickedness. Word was received from Columbus that Ed Stafileback had been convicted of murder in the first degree. The news was received with no wonder, but great satisfaction.
