From Antigua we have Advice, that the Fly Privateer, Capt. Lesly, of that Port, had carried in there a French Privateer Schooner. That the Hunter Privateer of New York, had also taken, and sent into that Island, a Prize Schooner: That a Dutchman arrived there about the 7th of July, said he had been in company with Bompart's Squadron 15 or 16 Days before, consisting of 8 Men of War and 3 large Store-ships, and was then turning up from the Grenadines for Martinico: But the 20th of July (our latest Intelligence from that Quarter) they knew nothing of the French Fleet, only they believed it was somewhere in those Seas.
