MR. Simons—The Free Suffrage committee of this city, have received a letter from the corresponding committee in Slaterville, (Smithfield) consisting of Metcalf Marsh, Elijah H. Sherman and Calvin Shove, containing among other things a request that the names of the Providence committee, and all similar committees, should be published in the "Republican Herald." The following are the names and occupations of the Providence committee: They are working men in name and in deed, and are determined "as far as in them lies," that that class of the community who work the hardest and enjoy the least privileges, shall be speedily righted of their wrongs, either "by hook or by crook." Three of them are freeholders and three non-freeholders, and they are composed of all political parties.
