BOSTON, March 18.

Extract of a Letter from the Right Honourable the Countess of Huntingdon; received a few Days ago by the December Packet.

"CANNOT express how much I feel myself obliged by your most kind Attentions shown to me in communicating, with so much Tenderness and Respect to dear Mr. Whitefield, the Account of his falling asleep. Thirty Years very intimate Friendship with him must make it a severe Stroke to all the remaining Self Love that is found in his Friends. I loved him, and highly honoured him, and this from the fullest Conviction that honester Man, a more faithful Minister of the Gospel, and one so highly favoured of God, I have never known, and this through and to the End of his blessed Pilgrimage on Earth."
