Port Chester, Aug. 13.—A man who says his name is Pietro Fallitto went into the secondhand clothing store of Louis Levine this afternoon and after trying on a coat threw it over Levine's head, knocked him down and cut his throat with a razor. He then searched Levine's pockets and got but 2 cents. Levine is 85 years old.
Fallitto was discovered sitting on the old man's chest by Rabbi Abrahamson, and he ran into the street and gave an alarm. Fallitto ran, but was caught by Policeman Frank Aiello after a chase of about a mile. In the Ladies' Hospital Fallitto was identified by Levine as the man who attacked him. Antonio Bridge of Rye, who admits that he was with Fallitto and stood outside the door while Fallitto attacked Levine, was arrested later. Fallitto is 32 years old and says he came from New Haven.
Levine's chances of recovery are slight.
