Extract of a Letter from a private Gentleman in London, to his Friend in Boston, per Captain Folger.

"Our Markets at present are very high, Mutton at. Five Pence Half Penny, Beef at Six Pence, Bread at One and Three Pence Half-Penny per the Half-Peck Loaf, Butter from Seven Pence to Twelve-Pence, and Pork at Seven-Pence, per lb,---- So that you may expect a great many Persons from this Place very shortly, from different Motives, some to secure their Interest, and others to reduce the Liberty Folks to drink Tea or drink Water, which may best Suit them. From the, present Appearance of Affairs, you will have both Soldiers and Sailors to pay you a Visit, in the Course of this Summer."
