The Massachusetts election of Representatives to the eighth Congress, takes place on the first day of November next. Maine is divided into four Districts, for the choice of Representative each--To wit. York district--Cumberland district--Lincoln district--and Kennebec district. In York, the Hon. John Lord of Berwick, will be supported as the Federal Republican candidate, and the Hon. Richard Cutts, as the democratic. In Cumberland no person has yet been mentioned against our present worthy member, Gen. Wadsworth. In Lincoln, Samuel Thatcher, Esq. may look for a re-election. In Kennebec, Peleg Wadsworth, Esq. and perhaps some other Federal candidate, will be opposed to Martin Kinsley, Esq. of democratic note. In the above elections we hope a spirit of independence, integrity, and wisdom will prevail.
