The London Courier of the 26th of August, gives the following fact.

On Saturday last, a melancholy accident occurred in the Street Neuve St. Marc, at the corner of La Place des Italiens, at Paris. A young female performer at the opera, threw herself out of a window of the fourth story, and was taken up lifeless. She is said to have been the victim of love. This young girl, who to a beautiful figure united all the charms of twenty-two, could not endure the grief occasioned by her lover's marriage. During eight days the affectionate cares of her young sister with difficulty prevailed on her to take some nourishment. At five o'clock in the morning this unhappy creature threw herself from the window, when her sister imagined she had fallen asleep, which she much required.
