STEAMER
CARRIE
BROWN SOLD TO MR. GEO.
E. BUSH.
Mr. George E. Bush is now a half
owner of the Gallipolis and Huntington
packet, Carrie Brown. The deal by
which Mr. Bush was made a half owner
in this boat was consummated Saturday, when Captain M. H Brown transferred the interest mentioned above to
Mr. Bush. The Brown is a well patronized packet and is making perhaps as
much money as any local craft that
touches our wharf. Mr Bush will be
connected with the Brown in the capacity of clerk and assumed his new
duties Monday. George is well known
along the river and this will prove a
material help to him in his new work.
He is a genial, scrupulously careful
and reliable man. and patrons of the
Brown can rest assured that they will
be accorded the best treatment at his
hands. He will devote his entire time
to the interest of his boat. having
abandoned the notion of starting up his
mill again.
