WOMEN BURNING BILLBOARDS

There have been thousands of bonfires in the state of Minnesota since the first day of December, and thousands more will be started before the new year is a month old. Billboards advertising pills, powders, paints, and other things are being torn down and burned in accordance with a new state law which forbids signs along public highways. It is a woman's crusade. They said the state's best scenery was being disfigured by the billboards and travel made unsafe, and they forced the legislature to act. Other states should do likewise. They will if the women will it.-Capper's Weekly.
