After Going Aground

SEATTLE, (R)--A 208-foot barge, aground since Wednesday with a valuable cargo from Seattle was freed Saturday from a Southeast Alaska beach.

Alaska Freight Lines said in Seattle that the barge, towed by the tug Kelly, will be returned to Seattle. It is expected to arrive Tuesday when 1,000 tons of cargo, all undamaged, will be transferred to another barge.

Cargo on the barge is contained in 31 big trailer vans.
