Sgt. Sluss is presently assigned as a Crew Chief on one of the Superfortresses of the 376th Bomb Group. Prior to entering the Army at Fort Thomas, Ky., in February of 1942, Sgt. Sluss was employed by the Carter Coal Company of Carretta. He has studied airplane mechanics at Sheppard Field, Tex., and at the Douglas Aircraft Factory School at Santa Monica, Calif.
