Cooperation Really
Does Pay
Noticing in the COOPERATOR'S account of the Morris, Minn., Co-op's annual meeting that two members received patronage refund checks for $67.40 and $75.42, T. E. Ferris, secretary-treasurer and manager of the Fulda Cooperative Oil Co., Fulda, Minn., writes in to report some big refunds paid by that association. He mentions these: Ben Bruns, $100.68; Alex Beckman, $76.95; John Clark, $68.35; C. Follet, $130.42; Wm. Koehn, $85.87; Mrs. M. Ruesch, $80.30; C. Haverkamp, $98.40.
A 12% refund by the Fulda Co-op explains the large checks, Mr. Ferris points out.
In its last fiscal year the Fulda association had total sales of $68,098 and net earnings of $8,300. It was the co-op's best year since organization in 1926.
The co-op operates on a cash basis as far as possible with a 60 day limit on credit accounts.
"The MIDLAND COOPERATOR," concludes Mr. Ferris, "has many good articles and good food for thought for every association, boards of directors and membership."
