SALAMANCA March 12.

On the 26th, the Videttes of Don Julian appeared within pistol shot of this City, and took from the suburbs some mules and horses, and carried away the intendant's servant.

On the same day, the General who commands here, received a despatch from Bessieres, in which he acquaints him, that he is authorised to communicate, that the Emperor has marched 20,000 men of the Confederation of the Rhine towards the frontiers of Poland, where Davoust is already, with 60,000 men; that 20,000 men, from the interior of France, are to march to the same destiny, stating, at the same time, as the cause, the late treaties and intrigues of the late Emperor Alexander, with other powers. On the 21st, Gardanne, with a numerous Convoy set out on the road to France.

To day the General, who went from Asturias to command the cavalry of the division of Claparede, returned to Ciudad Rodrigo, with a great many inspectors, and other civil officers, employed in the army of Portugal, flying from the misery which

Videttes of Don Julian raided suburbs on 26th, taking mules, horses, and intendant's servant.
