PUBLIC SCHOOL ITEMS.

The broom drill promises to surpass the wildest expectations.

The carpenter is building the cases for the geological cabinet.

The High School Literary society met at 6:30 Thursday evening—to adjourn for the Grand Army of the Republic entertainment.

Twelve girls will sell tickets for the public school entertainment. They will sell you tickets at fifty cents, and if you wish a reserved seat go to Beecher's drug store, select your seat, and for twenty-five cents more receive in exchange a red reserved seat card.

The matinee given in the afternoon of Friday, February 9, at 2 o'clock will be a rehearsal of the entire programme, and should be attended by all children, and especially by those of tender years, instead of the evening. Admission to all such persons, twenty-five cents.
