EDITOR'S CORRESPONDENCE.

From our Baltimore Correspondent.

BALTIMORE, Sept. 22—5, p. m.

The warmth of yesterday is succeeded to-day by a cold, damp atmosphere. There is every prospect of a regular northeast storm.

A new whig penny paper, called the Morning News, is to be started here next Saturday. It will be published by Peake, Walker, & Co.; but I have not learned who is to have charge of the editorial department.

The Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows adjourned sine die on Saturday afternoon, after dispatching the large amount of business before them.

The Markets.—There have been no sales of flour to-day. Grain is steady at Saturday's rates. Whiskey, 22 a 23 cents.
