No Skiing Saturday at Snoqualmie Because of Big Event Sunday

Snoqualmie Ski Bowl will be closed Saturday to permit work to condition the terrain for the national jumping championships Sunday, it was announced by J. F. Bahl, assistant general passenger agent for the Milwaukee Railway, which usually operates a train to the bowl every Saturday. [He] said: Of the magnitude of competition to be held at the bowl Sunday and the necessity of having the jump, the inruns, the hills, the banks, the lengthy inrun in perfect condition, the Milwaukee railroad has, after conferring with officials, said that it is necessary to close the area to skiers. However, skiers, by taking one of the earlier trains to the bowl on Saturday, may enjoy at least three hours of skiing before the tournament begins.

Special trains will leave Tacoma that day at 7:30 and 8:30 a. m.
