Gen. Sheridan Issues an Order.

Chicago, January 28.—The following order has been issued by Gen. Sheridan:

By direction of the President the following named officers of the army are detailed to act in conjunction with one person to be designated by the Governor of Texas, as a board to investigate the present troubles in El Paso county, Texas:

Col. John H. King, 9th infantry. Lieut. Col. William H. Lewis, 19th Infantry.

The board will assemble at Fort Bliss, Texas, and then march to such places in El Paso county as may be deemed necessary to secure a thorough understanding of the matters presented in a paper which will be laid before it. First Lieut. Leonard, Adjutant of the 9th infantry, is detailed as recorder of the board.
