NOTICE.—The Registry Bureau will be opened on Monday, July 13th, inst. To avoid confusion- the better to arrange and distribute the work of this Department, the city has been divided into sections and the time appointed in which the citizens (property holders, in each section are respectfully requested to present their Deeds, with a correct description of their property, at this office.

CITY AND SCHOOL TAXES FOR 1874.
The undersigned, Receivers of Taxes for the City of Wilmington, will be at the City Hall,on and after the first day of July 1874. between the hours of 8 and 12 in the morning, and from 2 to 6 in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving Taxes. A deduction of five per cent. is made on all Taxes paid in July; all paid in August and up to the closing of the polls of the city election, the face of the bill must be paid: and after that date five per cent. will be added to the bill.

City Ordinance.
AN ORDINANCE EXEMPTING CER- tain work on the new Water Reservoirs from the provisions of the Ordinance entitled " An Ordi- nance providing that work for the city shall be done by contract."
Be it ordained by the City Council of Wilmington.
Section 1. That in the employment of laborers to construct the banks and excavating the necessary earth for the same, of the new Reservoirs between Tenth and Twelfth and Jackson and Harrison Sts., of the City of Wilmington (and to remove the top soil from the land required) for said Reservoirs and for puddling the same, the Water Committee shall be exempt from the provisions of the Ordinance entitled An Ordinance providing that work for the city shall be done by contract," and said Committee shall be at liberty, under the supervision of the City Council, to employ said laborers on terms most advantageous to the city.
