To the Comrades of the Department of Washington:

May I extend to you Comrades of this great Department, belated sincerest wishes for a successful year. May you also resolve to work for our organization in the establishing of new Posts and the signing of new members.

May we all receive a better understanding of our aims and purposes and make this the greatest year in V.F.W. history because we have a great organization, we have a great Department, and we have fine men in both of them and as our Comrades.
