Full Text

The Rochester Telegraph has the following remark on the Administration nomination at Utica:

"The selection thus made by the Convention is one of the best that could have been adopted; and we hope and trust that the unanimity shown by the delegates will pervade through the republican ranks of the state. If it does, we are sure of success. In naming the candidates it will be seen that the Convention paid due regard to the interests of the East and West, so far as localities of residence may be deemed to affect those interests. Of the talents of the candidates we will not now speak. They are too well known to need any commendation from us. Suffice it for the present to say, we shall yield them both our cordial and zealous support."
