Full Text

Leagues of Juvenile Criminals.—The Boston Transcript says that it is well understood that leagues in vice and crime exist in several places in the vicinity of that city. Six incendiary fires were seen from Tuft's College, on Saturday night last. There would have been seven, if the attempt to burn a meeting-house had not failed. It is believed that in many towns near Boston there exist bands of idle, intemperate and abandoned young men and boys, who pass portions of each day in planning the diabolical acts they intend to perpetrate the succeeding night.
