$1,850 Compressor
Ordered By Town
For Street Crew

Purchase of a new air compressor at a cost of $1,850 for use of the town's street and waterworks departments was authorized last week by municipal council and the board of public affairs.

Bought to replace an inoperative compressor which experts have reported is beyond repair, the new equipment will be delivered next week. It is used to operate an air hammer and other air tools.

The purchase was made from the Jaeger Manufacturing Co., of Columbus.

After its delivery the new compressor will be available for rental to residents of the town, providing a town operator handles the work, it was decided at the meeting.

In previous years rental of the compressor did not require its operation by skilled workmen of the town, but with new equipment on hand it was recommended that only those accustomed to its operation use it for private work.
