The Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department was organized on Monday, November 4, at the Community Hall.

The purpose of the organization is to arrange for the piping of water into the town for the protection. Donations are being received.

A series of Bingo parties were arranged to obtain funds.

The following officers were appointed: fire chief, P. G. Arnold; assistant chief, Charles Glass; secretary, Mrs. Ramsey Smith; treasurer, Claude.

The first game of the season will be held at the Town Hall, November 15, 1946, at 7:30 P. M.
