Mr. GLIDDON's LECTURES.—We last evening attended the lecture of Mr. Gliddon upon the subject of "Egyptian Archeology." Without professing to be versed in the lore connected with the ancient Egyptians, we do say that yesterday evening we were astonished. Who would imagine that there are the natural skulls of those who existed more than three thousand years ago, now in New Orleans? This fact may be deemed improbable, but Mr. Gliddon will affirm it. What think ye, dear people of the South, of a mummified crocodile, taken from the sarcophagus of one of the Kings of Egypt, more than thirty centuries ago? What think ye of handling the skulls of those who existed even when the Pyramids were not? There, and other collections, can be found among the rarities which Mr. Gliddon has in his assortment of curiosities. Those who wish to see some of the enigmas connected with the philosophy of the ancient world explained, should most certainly attend the lectures of Mr. Gliddon.
