Sept. 3. They write from Naples, That there is such a Desertion of the Soldiers of that Kingdom, that almost whole Regiments desert at once; and what is most remarkable, not one of them can be taken, neither is it known, where they shelter themselves.

Eight Companies of Santo Buono's Regiment are already ordered from Sicily, towards supplying the Place of those that run away.

-- On one Hand is seen a Government distrustful and suspicious; and on the other, a People uneasy, restless, and seeming to want a Change.

-- The Ministry there, are making the most diligent Enquiry after the Authors of a Satirical Pamphlet lately dispersed up and down, intituled, Vulcan and Cyclops hammering out Fetters for the Neapolitans; but hitherto their Search has been in vain.
