Renewal Of Clerical Promises.--

There was, to use a secular phrase, a grand field day at St. Sulpice Seminary, Paris, on the Feast of the Presentation B. V. M., 21st November. Ten bishops, one hundred priests, the pastors of all the churches of the Capitol, and the students renewed their clerical promises. The address was delivered by his Eminence the Cardinal Archbishop of Besancon, Mgr. Matthieu, who presented the ring of the martyred Archbishop, Darboy, to be kissed by the clergy. The new Archbishop of Paris was present, but did not officiate.
