Full Text
The argument of taxing the colonies, is now judged, by every sensible man, to be imprudent and unpolitical, and from the language of Lord North, and the other Ministers in Parliament, they seem to imply, that if the colonies would recognize the authority of Parliament, that not only the glass act should be repealed or suspended, but a security offered, that no other law should be enacted during a century for the like purposes. I wish the differences were accommodated seeing our enemies avail themselves of our distractions, and that sounds this country, might ultimately dwell in like manner.
