Full Text
Omaha, the dry metropolis of dry Nebraska, is not suffering commercially because of Prohibition, as clearly shown by the bank clearings of that city. For July, 1918, these clearings were $224,722,177, compared with only $131,357,130 in July, 1917. This great increase, indicative of the prosperity of the city and the surrounding country, is greater than it has been in any previous month this year, though each month has registered a large increase over the same month of last year.
