Full Text
Four States have voted and the result should be cheering to every Democrat. It is his desire that the country may escape from under the heavy burden of taxation which has been laid upon the people. His wish is, therefore, to benefit the whole laboring people. The Republican party deny they have been extravagant, and if the election turns in favor of Hayes and Wheeler, they will hold that the majority of the people have endorsed the Republican policy and continue the same extravagance which is ruining the country North and South.
