If one is appropriately and smartly clad one equal to any situation. That's why she is able to have her heroine cast up on a desert island in a bathing suit of green silk crepe bordered plique of oilcloth flowers in several colors.
Cloth flowers are a new Parisian idea and suitable, Mitzi thinks, to ship wrecks.
Her heroine will, of course, get off the desert island in time for the season on the Riviera. For a flower draped moonlit balcony somewhere along the Mediterranean Mitzi thinks an evening gown of point d'esprit gathered into folds in front under a wide bow, and covered by a wide cape trimmed with large net roses, would be perfect.

This may be the final embrace or it may be a dance, but in either case no one need object to a period evening gown with an extremely wide skirt in four layers of ruffles. The dress will be, of course, in one of the shades just off white and the shoulder flower will slide down the back instead of the front of the gown. More about this tomorrow.
