Willard M. Albury, county superintendent of public instruction, is having difficulty in finding a commercial teacher needed by Key West Senior High School.
The position formerly was held by Mrs. Carolyn Poirier, wife of a man in the armed services, who was forced to resign because her husband was transferred from the city.
The position pays a maximum of $2,012 a year for a person who has a degree of four years of service in a college. Albury has written to several states looking for a commercial teacher.
"Such teachers can usually find private employment at rates higher than any county can pay," Albury said.
