HOLDEN, Mo., April 26.—There is the greatest excitement here to-night on account of reported threats of the mob in Cass county: A squad of suspicious characters have been seen within a few miles of town, and it is not known at what moment there will be an attack. A number of patrolmen are stationed at different points, and all citizens are on the alert and will defend their homes to the utmost. W. H. Nichols, one of the alleged bond robbers, lives here, and also about twenty-five of his bondsmen, who are some of the best citizens of the place.
