Return of The Twenty-First Regiment.

The 21st regiment is expected to arrive in the city on Monday, the 1st of February, in the early part of the day. The hour will be announced as soon as definitely known. They will be received by the city government, by Col. Clark, specially delegated by the governor of the commonwealth for the purpose, by a large military escort, consisting of a detachment of the 25th regiment, several companies of the 57th, the State Guards, and the Highland Cadets—the whole under the command of Col. Josiah Pickett, of the 25th, and by the whole fire department of the city, under the direction of chief engineer Alzirus Brown.

The old battle flags of the regiment have been placed in the custody of speaker Bullock by the governor, to be used on the occasion, and will be borne by sergeant Plunkett at the head of the regiment. A collation will be provided by the city government in Mechanics' Hall, for which contributions from our citizens of cake, confectionary, fruit, &c., will be acceptable. The galleries will be reserved for ladies. Present and past members of the city council, members of the different departments, officers and past officers of the army, the municipal officers of towns which have companies in the regiment, and citizens generally are invited to join in the demonstration, to make it worthy of the city and the gallant veterans whom it is our desire to honor.

Per order of the Military Committee.

The regiment left Cincinnati at 4 P. M. on Friday, and will arrive home, according to the arrangements of its officers, Monday fore-noon, as above stated.
