SUICIDE NOTE LEFT BY A YOUNG GIRL

Beverly, Mass., Aug. 7.—Coming from South Berwick, Mass., Charles S. Cox arrived in this city, bringing with him a suit case, the property of his 18-year-old daughter Ethel, containing a note which informed the father that he would never see her again and that she was about to take her life by drowning.

Miss Cox was employed in the stitching room of the Garden City Shoe company in this city, and on Saturday morning she received her money and has not since been seen. She boarded at the home of Thomas Barnes of Cedar street, Wenham, and was of a pleasing disposition.

Mr. Cox cannot account for his daughter's action.
