Daisy White, 715 6th Avenue North, and William Denton, 36, 244 Fourteenth Avenue South, had been very good friends for a long time.

In fact they had been so friendly that Mr. Denton evidently objected when Miss White had callers, for when he visited her early in the week he found someone there to whom he objected.

When he made his objections known, the lady told him to go away. He insisted on coming in anyhow, in fact he kicked down the door, and the lady advised him not to come in.

What Mr. Denton did not know was that the lady, at the moment, was cooking lye, or perhaps he did not know the distress of the lady at having her home invaded.

He crossed the threshold, and she let him have it.

Seriously burned about the face, his condition was reported as poor, Thursday.

In municipal court Thursday, Miss White was released on RPR, told to report the twenty-eighth of March.
