High Cost of Chivalry Or-Never Trust A Lady With Ripped Skirt

ELIZABETH, N. J. (AP) - Ladies-in-distress may just as well keep away from Meyer Jaconson's tailor shop in the future.

He found the cost of chivalry too high.

Jaconson told police a woman entered his place here Saturday and asked him to repair her ripped skirt.

When he did, the woman re-donned the skirt, threw her arms about Jaconson in a gesture of thanks and left.

Some time later, the tailor discovered that his wallet, containing $60, was missing from a hip pocket.
