The scurry of Christmas shopping promises to be even greater than in previous years as the First National Bank and Ypsilanti Savings Bank report a combined total of $74,000 Christmas club savings.

These figures show an increase of $9,500 over the $64,500 reported in Christmas savings of 1941. While the 1941 figures were a $24,500 increase over 1940.
