London, June 1, N. S. The Lords of the Admiralty are actually examining a Memorial which the Marquis de Mirepoix, the French Ambassador, has presented to the Government, concerning the Attack made upon the Fort which the French have built on the River Gambia in Africa: They are to enquire whether the Complaints made in that Memorial are well grounded, and whether the French have a Right to trade and settle in that River, &c. In the mean while tis said his Excellency has been assured, that his Court shall receive all the Satisfaction and Reparation requisite, in Case the Complaints in Question prove just. Just or not just, they but take Opportunities by the French: and our Africa Company may now cut the Stable Door, the Steed is stolen.
